The paper deals with the generalization of the problem of kapsacks when there are m knapsacks of limited capacity. Also, there is a limitation on the total weight of all objects. The problems of a similar type arise when forming the portfolio of projects with extra limitations on the amount of financing in various directions. Another example is the case of high-risk projects (venture projects) financing of which is limited. A method of network programming is offered for solving the problem stated.

Georgian Technical University

The work is devoted to the investigation of the property of D-optimality of first-order simplex-grid designs for four-component systems with the aim of estimation of the levels of the components of measuring instruments having certain errors. The simulation of different errors of measuring instrumentation was performed by superimposing random numbers distributed by the normal law on the coordinates of the first-order design. It was established that the property of D-optimality of the first-order simplex-grid designs for four-component systems deteriorated when the measuring instruments with inherent errors were used.

National Academy of Aviation of Azerbaijan

Nowadays all aircrafts are equipped with rather reliable antiicing facitities, though the number of aviation accidents (AA) associated with icing remains quite high. AA caused by icing can be divided into two types: the AA occuring during the takeoff and the AA occurring during the approach. The present paper deals with the mathematical model of aircraft icing. It is demonstrated that the simulation of icing allows resolving a wide range of problems associated with icing, studying all modes and stages of the flight, carrying out the parametric investigation of the influence of various factors on the occurrence and development of emergency situations, working out scientifically justified recommendations on safe piloting of aircrafts under various unfavorable conditions, revealing and studying the causes of AA, etc.

Begiashvili G.A., Blagidze E.M., Gvatua N.Sh., Gvatua Sh.Sh., Mdivani I.G. and Tkhinvaleli R.G.

V.Chavchanidze Institute of Cybernetics

In the given work the data on the basic parameters of the experimental laboratory device for drawing fiber from unique basaltic raw materials of Georgia and the technological regulation of production of basalt continuous fiber (BCF) on their basis are presented. The temperature range for obtaining BCF was within the limits of 1130-12300C and the diameter of obtained BCF varied from 35-45 μm to 9-11 μm, depending on the temperature of the basalt glass melt and the speed of rotation of the winding drum.  The data on chemical compositions of the basaltic raw  materials and the residual basalt glass after drawing of BCF are given: the maximum losses were observed for       Al2O3 – 3.5%, others were either trace or the result of redistribution of silicon, calcium and magnesium ions in the coordination lattice of glass. The following devices are described: 1) The device for determination of glass softening temperature tg (OTPC-1). The multiple determinations for the basalt glass gave the value Tg=10530C±3,00C. 2) The instrument for measuring the glass fiber torsional moment by means of which the shear modulus of BCF. GBF = (2.2-2.4)GPa, was measured.

Changes in the oxygen concentration in the depth of the enamel layer were determined. The problem of stresses of enamel-to-metal seals in the reducing atmosphere was studied. It was established that the stress in the seal decreased when the time of its exposure to the reducing atmosphere increased, which could be attributed to the decrease in the modulus of elasticity of the enamel.

Keyword: enamel, paint, reduction, reducing flame.

Abstract. The success of gene therapy depends on safe and effective gene delivery systems. Non-viral delivery agents have been introduced in the art for the issues of safety and limitations associated with current viral vectors. Synthetic polycations, like polyethylenimine (PEI), poly-L-lysine (PLL), and polyarginine (Poly-Arg) are widely used for intracellular delivery of nucleic acids.  However, these gene carriers are far from being perfect. Major limitation of known synthetic polymers is their low transfection efficiency and high cytotoxicity.  Thus, the creation of new cationic polymers - gene carriers free of  the  limitation mentioned is a challenge. We have developed new positively charged arginine-based biodegradable polymers - poly(ether-ester-urethane)s showing increased solubility in water. The cytotoxicity of two newly synthesized polycationic polymers - one composed of diethylene glycol, L-arginine and 1,3-propanediol, EG2-Arg-3, and another one composed of diethylene glycol,  L-arginine and tetraethylene glycol, EG2-Arg-EG4,  against 4T1 (murine mammary carcinoma) cell line  was investigated using MTT assay. The newly synthesized polycations showed by far lower toxicity as compared to PEI, PLL, and Poly-Arg (at similar concentrations, w/w) thus demonstrating a high potential for being used as non-viral carriers for gene therapy.

Keywords: gene delivery, non-viral carriers, polycations, biodegradable poly(ether-ester urethane)s,   L-arginine.

Kanchaveli Sh.S. and Keshelava R.F.

L.Kanchaveli Research Institute of Plant Proteetion

Diseases of the seeds of forest woody species manifest themselves as mould, mummification, spots, rot, etc. They are mainly caused by fungi. These diseases reduce the seed germination, cause  the death of seedlings in nurseries, retard the growth and often cause premature death of adult trees. The following measures against the seed diseases are foreseen: due seed collection, seed drying, disinfection of pakhaging and store-houses, chemical treatment of seeds prior to winter storage, and seed storage in dry storages at 4-50C and 65-70% humidity, periodical ventilation of storages during the seed storage, and seed mixing by means of a spade.

Cancer diseases of forest woody species are widely spread and are very harmful. Inflectional and non-inflectional cancer diseases of the forest woody species are distinguished. The non-inflectional  diseases emerge under the influence of unfavorable abiotic factors, whereas the inflectional ones are caused by  fungi and bacteria. There are different types of cancer diseases of the forest woody species: tumor cancer, resin cancer and phase cancer. Sanitary, agrotechnical and chemical control measures are used against the cancer diseases.
