Prognostication of a Phenomenon as a System

Abstract. Phenomenon Z. Bedia, who can light a bulb of any capacity by touching, is examined. Each individual has a biofield, but, as a rule, its energy is sufficient only for satisfaction of needs of the own organism. The phenomenon has been investigated experimentally. The heuristic quest showed that, before the manifestation of this property, Z. Bedia experienced a tragedy. The crisis developed unconsciously. The biofield was disturbed, which resulted in energetic disturbance. According to the setting data, the process proceeding in the phenomenon is physical. The interaction between the Psychic and the Physical (physiological) might result in the ability of managing the inner energy. The dream played a special role in the case of the phenomenon. The individual became able to manage his inner energy, which resulted in lighting the bulb.

ONE-DIMENSIONAL BIN  PACKING  CLASS:  FAST ALGORITHMS TO FIND THE BOUNDS  OF  OBJECTIVE FUNCTIONS
Fedulov G.K.
Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University
We have studied a class of 14 combinatorial models that are semantically close to a known One-Dimensional Bin Packing task. All models have a large number of practical applications in different fields: one-dimensional stock cutting, placing of files on CDs, a schedule theory, placing of loads in containers and so on. A general description of the class consists in dividing the initial set of weights into a some number of disjoint subsets with the given properties, which are defined by using the model restrictions. Primary attention has been given to the estimation of quality of approximate solutions  as a measure of closeness to the optimum solutions. With that purpose, we build the bounds of objective function, which the approximate solutions are compared with. To find the bounds, we use two blocks: a block to reduce the initial size of tasks and a block to build the estimation corridor of reasonable solutions. The  first block removes the dominant groups of weights (the dominant pairs, triplets, quarters and so on) from the  initial data. The second block estimates the existence  of reasonable solutions for a given number of subsets. These blocks are closely interlinked. The results of the first block are used in the second block and vice versa. Our algorithms for finding the bounds can be used in practice for large-size tasks (the number of different weights may be 50,000 and more) as an alternative to other approaches when the time factor is important.

Georgian Technical University, Tbilisi
The problem of finding the conditions of losing the stability by the rod made from idealized elastoplastic material is discussed. For deriving the basic relationships in terms of the parameters of deformed state of the center section, two hypotheses are used. One of them is the hypothesis of plane sections, and the other hypothesis consists in the approximation of the equation for the bent rod axis by a sinusoid. Each fiber of the section is assumed to have the s-e diagram in the form of Prandtl diagram. Based on these two hypotheses, the quantities of primary vector and primary moment are found. By setting the values of force and eccentricity, the critical parameter value is found, and the critical length of the rod is determined.

Some Problems of Interaction between the Automatons (agents) in the Hexapod Walking Robot During the Locomotion Process

 Machavariani G. A.

Institute of Cybernetics

Abstract. Different forms of interaction between the automations of hexapod walking robot are analyzed. Supposing that there could exist a wide range of such interactions, two opposite cases of interaction between the automations are discussed. In the first case, for achieving its aim, one automation hinders the achievement of the aim of the other automation and vice versa. Thus, the simultaneous operation of these automations is impossible. In the other case, the interaction between the automations consists in that one automation achieves its aim more successfully in the presence of the other automation occupied by resolving its “private” problem than it would in the absence of this other automation. Such an interaction between the automations bear similarities with the phenomenon of symbiosis,  which occurs in the world of living organisms.

Abstract: The present work deals with the study of the effect of introduction of the nanoporous ingredient the brake lining material composition on its frictional and wear behavior. The introduction of nanopores (200-500nm) occurred by using the diatomite particles. The investigation of samples of the elaborated porous composition and the peculiarities of wear and friction mechanisms showed that the microstructure and the thermo-stability (up to 900OC) of particles caused the high tribological parameters under both dry and wet friction conditions. The proposed material does not provoke the squeal during friction with brake disk and has more esthetical (non-black) and easily washable wear products. As the binding agent for the new-generation composition material of brake lining, there was used chemically modified phenol-formaldehyde resin, which provided the stability of tribological parameters of brake pads at working temperature up to 600OC and prolonged twice as much the brake pads lifetime. The variation of the content of barite and diatomite in the composition allows us to control the friction coefficient of the developed materials in the required range. The dry friction coefficient values for our material varies in the range of 0.3-0.45 and keeps the same friction coefficient values during wet friction as well. The obtained results of the laboratory and field tests give us reasons to infer that the developed new materials may serve as efficient substitutes for brake pad linings fabricated from conventional non-asbestos materials.

Abstract. In the present work different concepts of a hybrid microwave sensor (MS) design have been studied to select an optimal high performance, a relatively simple option, allowing further integration into a monolithic device. The theoretical and experimental investigations were carried out for two options of MS based on the quadrature principle for licensefree frequencies 2.4-2.5 GHz and 5,7-5,8 GHz to control parameters of industrial materials. The first, frequently used, heterodyne configuration includes two oscillators (RF and local), and the I-Q demodulation is carried out at an intermediate frequency which serves for signal transfer to a PC card performing data digitalization. The second, homodyne configuration, is based on the direct conversion of the reflected RF signal and differs from the other versions by containing a frequency synthesizer-based oscillator and other microwave building blocks which can be integrated into a chip. The comparison of RF characteristics and sensitivity of both types of MS made it possible to give preference to the homodyne configuration, especially with allowance for the simplicity of the original design. Commercial plastics (Sylomer) with different porosities were selected as the object under investigation (OUI). Suitable methods using special software for automatization of measurements and data processing were developed. Quite a satisfactory agreement between the simulation and the experiment, especially significant quasi-linear dependences of the signal amplitude on the OUI density, was demonstrated. In parallel, library elements for GaAs-based MMICs were developed, and the  chip layout of the receiving part of the 5.8-GHz sensor was designed. Other possible applications of the results are discussed.

GPC Ltd.
The content of zinc, copper, manganese and nickel in the hair of people’s of both sexes and of different age was determined by atomic absorption spectrometry. The method allows using the easily available biological material for examining the organism in normal state and at probable metallic intoxication. The regularity of dependence of the content of these microelements on the sex and the age was revealed. The content of zinc and copper decreased with ageing; the content of these microelements was higher in women’s hair. Thus, this method could be used for screening the population with the aim of determining the norms of essential microelement content. The content of zinc, copper, nickel and manganese in children living in Chiatura City, which is a biogeochemical province, was also studied. Our investigation justified a regular increase in the content of manganese in the organisms of Chiatura citizens’. The changes in the content of three other microelements (Zn, Cu and Ni) were observed. These changes were more distinct in boys than in girls. The proposed method can be recommended for controlling the biogeochemical endemia due to its simplicity.
