ONE APPROACH TO ROBOT SWARM CONTROL

Petashvili  P.P. and Meparishvili B.D.

 Georgian Technical University

Abstract. Multi-mobile sensor systems, as reconfigurable wireless networks of distributed autonomous  devices, can sense or monitor physical or environmental conditions cooperatively. Usually, in the multi-agent system, interaction dynamics between an agent and its environment leads to an emergent structure or emergent functionality. To be effective, the multi-agent systems must yield coordinated behavior from individually autonomous actions. The control of reconfigurable sensor networks is fundamentally a difficult problem. In  the system, there  must be balanced the power censumption, communication versus control, and the effectiveness of adaption to the environment as well as to changing science requirements. We discuss different kinds of metrics for  robotic groups behavior. In this paper we present a motion planning approach to allow  a group of mobile homogeneous robots with sensors to scan the given area of interest and to map the radiation levels over it, when robots cover their allocated areas in an efficient manner, collecting enough measurements at each location to allow a certain confidence level about the measured intensity to be reached.

Keywords: environmental monitoring, sensor systems, swarm intelligence, entropy.

Georgian Technical University

Abstract. By  a definite example, the devepopment of a mathematical model of  the pulse device approximating the reality by means of frequency links is shown. The emphasis is made on understanding and judgement of  the physical essence of dynamic properties and the operation of the modelled pulse device. Without their clear understanding, the objective analysis is impossible. The dependence of the target signal on the frequency of the operating signal was established by the construction of frequency characteristics of the device. The results of this work can be used in designing the control circuits of direct current electric drives, and also various pulse devices.

Keywords: transistor converter, pulse-width modulation, mathematical model.

PSYCHICS IS CHARACTERIZED BY THE QUANTUM PROCESS

Kadagishvili L.G.

V.V. Chanvchanidze Institute of Cybernetics of Georgian Technical University

Georgian Engineering Academy

Abstract. The article deals with the introduction of the quantum description when considering the perception structure.  The link between the psychic conscious and unconscious phenomena is wave-like and can be understood as the relation of the realized information and the source of information to the dynamics of excitation. Only part of the excited energy in the human brain is transformed into the realized information; namely, it is the part, which can concentrate to a certain extent on overcoming the limit of consciousness. The total energy of the unrealized excitation is divided into effective and non-effective types, which can be later realized as portions. Just  such an  alternation of energy forms the wave-like response in the consciousness. The fact of the psychics being characterized by the quantum process is implied in its manifestation. The spectrum of properties shows that, like it happens in the process of revealing the quantum phenomena, the phenomenon  under study is corpuscular and wave-like. As  is known, the major property of the quantum process is the concept of a quantum, which is irradiated in separate portions or quanta (is realized in our case).

Keywords: sub-sensor perception, psychics, the conscious, non-conscious, quantum process.

NEW METHODS OF COMPUTATION OF THE ENERGETIC SPECTRA OF LINEAR SIGNALS IN DIGITAL FIBER-OPTICAL  TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS

Mestiashvili K.V., Svanidze R.G., Chkhaidze M.T. and Popov D.B.

Georgian Technical University

The paper deals with a new approach to the computation of the energetic spectra of block linear signals of class mBnB in digital fiber-optical transmission systems. Unlike the classical method, where one needs all eigenvalues of the matrix of transition probabilities M, in the proposed approach, it is only necessary to construct the characteristic polynomial for the given matrix M. Moreover, at large dimensions of matrix M, the problem is even simpler, because the characteristic polynomial of matrix M is constructed on the base of the constructed characteristic polynomial of submatrix V, the order of which is significantly lower than that of matrix M.

Keywords: fiber optics, transmission, linear signal, energetic spectrum.

Arkania Z.M.

Akaki Tsereteli State University, Kutaisi

The  paper  deals with the equilibrium equations for  the flexible hose loaded with external concentrated and distributed forces and an internal fluid flow. It is shown that the equations of equilibrium of the hose sections located between any two concentrated forces and boundary conditions at the nodes of the hose sections coincide with the equilibrium equations and boundary conditions in the nodes of the sections of an absolutely flexible shank (thread). i.e. the equilibrium equations of the hose loaded with concentrated forces and the internal fluid flow can be reduced to the absolute equilibrium equations of a flexible shank (thread), which is loaded with concentrated forces.

Akaki Tsereteli State University, Kutaisi

For  single-component  solutions for the conditions  of a perfectly  selective cation-exchange membrane in relation to electrodialysis, we obtained a numerical solution to the problem of formation of ion fluxes in the diffusion boundary layer. The solution was formulated on the basis of  Nernst–Planck equations under a nonlinear character of the concentration change with dissociation products of water – hydrogen and hydroxyl ions. In the overlimiting mode  of  electrodialysis,  we  obtained  the  dependences  of  transfer  numbers  for the  ions involved in mass transfer on the current density and the changes in local transfer numbers by the thickness of the diffusion layer.

ON THE HISTORY OF PRODUCTION OF METALLIC ANTIMONY IN ANCIENT GEORGIA

Kapanadze M.B., Tsirekidze G.G. and Chagunava R.V.

Georgian Technical University

Georgian Aviation University

The paper deals with the ancient mining-metallurgic production of metallic antimony in Georgia. The production functioned in Zophkhito (mountainous Racha) in the ravine of the River Rioni from the II millennium B.C. to the IV century A.D. Archeologist G. Gobedzhishvili calculated (1952) that the amount of ore mined by that production exceeded by several orders of magnitude the amount of ore needed for local population. Based on those data, he inferred that the excess of antimory ore was used by the natives for exchange/trade with other regions. Earlier R.J. Forbes, a well-known expert in the history of metallurgy, made a similar, but a more large-scale, assumption (1950). He thought that the people of the ancient Caucasus delivered metallic antimory to Egypt and Mesopotamia. Considering those two assumptions, we can infer that ancient Georgia was one of the centers of antimony production and it supplied other countries with this metal.

Keywords: antimony, ore, mining, ancient Georgia.

Jacob Gogebshvili State University, Telavi

The paper deals with the dynamics of changes in terpenes during alcoholic fermentation  in the grapes and must of Rkatsiteli Muscat.  It was revealed that  the increase-accumulation of  the concentration of all terpene compounds proceeded up to the accumulation of  18 % sugar , then the concentration of terpenes remained unchanged. When the concentration of sugar reached 21-22 %, the concentration of terpenes decreased gradually. The reduction in the total concentration  of terpenes was related to the accumulation of spirit in the fermentation area.

TRANSDERMAL THERAPEUTIC SYSTEMS

Pailodze N.O., Buadze E.P., Shvangiradze G.V., Metreveli O.O. and Khurtsilava I.A.

Akaki Tsereteli State University, Kutaisi

The paper deals with transdermal therapeutic systems. Their advantages and drawbacks are discussed. It is shown that, for some medicines, the transdermal delivery is the only way of their introduction into the organism. Besides, the transdermal delivery of medicines is much more convenient for the patients suffering chronic diseases, as they need permanent or long-term treatment. However, the transdermal delivery of medicines has a number of drawbacks such as: 1) skin irritation, allergic reaction; 2) takes the medicine longer time to begin its action than the injection; 3) only powerful medicines having certain physicochemical properties can be delivered in this manner. The ways of improving the transdermal therapeutic systems are  considered. They include such physical methods as ionophoresis, sonophoresis and electrophoresis.

Keywords: transdermal therapeutic system, medicine delivery.

STUDY ON THE FABRIC SURFACE COATED WITH A BIOCOMPOSITION

Pailodze N.O. and Metreveli O.O.

Akaki Tsereteli State University, Kutaisi

The paper deals with medicinal tissues coated with biocompositions. It was revealed that, when the 10% biocomposition was used, the pores were not completely closed. It is important, because, if the pores are completely closed, the greenhouse effect could take place, which will promote the development of undesirable microorganisms under the tissue. The discrete distribution of the biocomposition on the tissue surface makes the tissue “breathe” and thus makes it more comfortable for the patient. Based on the analysis of tissue roughness, capillars, air penetration, variations of medicine amount, we chose the 8% bentonite composition, which was deposited on the fabric.
