Abstract: A new method for investigation of electromagnetic compatibility (EC) and noise immunity (NI) of the active dipole is presented. At the first stage, a new, correct solution of Hallen’s integral equation relative to the axial current of the dipole is given. It is shown that, besides the sinusoidal term caused by the action of e.m.f., applied to the center of the dipole, it contains other, new terms created by the interference of fields radiated by separate arms of the dipole. New formula characterizing the radiation pattern of the dipole is concluded; so-called compatibility function (CF) is introduced, while its analysis provides rather satisfactory characterrizing and description of EMC and NI of the dipole. Great number of numerous data is presented, proving the effectiveness of suggested method of estimation and improvement of EMC of the dipole.

Keywords: electromagnetic compatibility, noise immunity, dipole.

Simplified Method for Derivation of the dispersion equations for the multilayer magnetodielectric-filled rectangular waveguide

Gdzelishvili S.C.

Georgian Technical University

Abstract. A simplified method for derivation of dispersion equations for finding the propagation constants of longitudinal modes in the rectangular waveguide with longitudinal homogeneous N-layer isotropic magnetodielectric filling is presented. The analysis is based on the use of the transfer matrix of plane layer (TMPL) associating the field strength values of eigenmodes of the structure at flat boundaries of the layer. The efficiency of the method is due to the unified representation of the dispersion equation. This representation includes a product of N transfer matrices (TMPL),  which are unimodular. A recurrent form of the representation of the dispersion equation is given too.

Keywords: dispersion equation, longitudinal modes, multilayer rectangular waveguide, transfer matrix of plane layer (TMPL).

Abstract. Phase fluctuations of scattered radio waves caused by large-scale electron density irregularities in the ionospheric plasma were analyzed in the small-angle approximation. The point source and the receivers were located at the opposite sides in respect to the scattered plasma layer of finite thickness. The angle of arrival (AOA) was calculated for the power correlation function of fluctuations of the electron concentration. Numerical calculations and statistical simulation were carried out for the ionospheric  region using the satellite data. The statistical simulation of AOA by the Monte-Carlo method describes well the behavior of spatial power spectrum of scattered radio waves obtained using the geometrical optics approximation.

The topology of techniques of searching for and designing of medicinal compounds is discussed. This problem is quite complicated, because chemists, biologists and physicians speak “different languages”. For designing of new medicines, they need “a translator” of biochemical (or pharmacological) information into the language of structural  formulae. Medical chemistry plays the part of such a translator. In this paper, the potentialities of the method of Quantitative Structure – Activity  Relationship (QSAR) for designing of modern medicines are demonstrated.

Gogoladze M.Sh., Khurtsilava I.A. and Failodze N.R.

Akaki Tsereteli State University ,Kutaisi

The problems of formation of pneumomechniacal yarn are discussed. It was established that, with increasing percentage of separated noils, the degree of yarn breaking decreases due to the removal of weed impurities by the nip comber when preparing the half-finished product for spinning. Besides, in this case, the breaking load of the yarn increases, while its irregularity in strength decreases.

Keywords: pneumomechanical  yarn, noil, comber, breaking load, strength.
