diffusion mismatch

Iv.
Diffusion mismatch in AIVBVI heterostructures
at epitaxy temperature is formed due to the mutual diffusion of components of
the emitter and the active area. If the semiwidth of the mismatched region is
more than the critical thickness, the
probability of relaxation of the corresponding pressure is high. This raises
the threshold current in lasers, and, in
photodetectors, low sensitivity is realized. The effective maximum mismatch or
the effect caused by it can be reduced, on the one hand, by changing the
profile of the structures in heterostructures when they approach the emitter
and the active area and, on the other hand, by doping the active area with the
impurities expanding the limit of elasticity.
Keywords: heterostructures, diffusion mismatch, critical
thickness.
ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF Fe/GaAs

Abstract. The Fe/GaAs contact has attracted considerable
interest among researchers due to both its magnetic properties and the
insignificant lattice mismatch the between the metal and the semiconductor. The
formation of Schottky barrier and its characteristics, as well as of metallic
interconnections, are strongly influenced by the structure and the disorder of
the interface. The Schottky barrier was obtained by electrochemical deposition
of ferromagnetic metal - Fe on the electrochemically etched surface of GaAs. The
aqueous solution of iron chloride was used for deposition of Shottky contact. The
ohmic contact was made by sintering of metallic indium in hydrogen. Current-voltage
and capacitance-voltage characteristics of the obtained Schottky diode based on
the Fe/GaAs barier contact were studied. The results of investigation of the
current flow mechanism in the observed structures are presented.

Georgian Technical University
The
values of enthalpy, entropy and free energy of prototropic equilibrium in
nonrelaxation triplet exciplexes were obtained. It was established that, with
increasing temperature of the solution, the yield of neutral radicals
increased, while the yield of triplet exciplexes decreased. It is demonstrated
that polar triplet exciplexes are efficiently quenched by secondary aromatic amines
through the hydrogen atom transfer with the formation of corresponding neutral
radicals.

Abstract.
The influence of lithium and boron doping on the superconducting
transition was investigated in Bi-based
high-Tc 2223
ceramics. It was found that the Bi-2223 samples doped with Li and B transform into
the low-Tc Bi-2212
phase. In the Li-doped Bi-2223 samples, a nonmonotonous change in the critical
temperature takes place, while the boron doping leads to the gradual decrease
in Tc with the
increasing dopant content.

Abstract. The undoped and boron-doped Bi(Pb)-Sr-Ca-Cu-O
glass-ceramic samples with nominal composition Bi1.7Pb0.3Sr2Ca2Cu4BxOy
(x=0 and 0.3) were synthesized by
the melt-quenching method. Crystallization behavior and resistive transition of the prepared material
were examined. The addition of B2O3
to the Bi-based system suppresses the crystallization of the high-temperature
2223 phase and sharply decreases the critical temperature. The normal state
resistivity values of the boron-doped samples are an order of magnitude larger
than those of undoped ones.

Abstract. The
prediction of long-term corrosive behavior of Ti-Ni-Cr alloy was carried out at
37oC in the physiological solution (0.9% NaCl) with application of
electrochemical and corrosion tests, spectral chemical analysis and statistical
methods of experimental data analysis. The obtained equation of time dependence
of the corrosion rate is expressed as C = 0.0038 exp (-0.045τ). The time
dependences of corrosion potentials and rates and the absence of pitting
corrosion allows forecasting the high corrosion resistance of alloy
corresponding to the passive state
during long-term exposure. The chemical spectral analysis confirmed the
calculated and predicted low values of corrosion rates and showed that, during
the long-term exposure, the quantity of
titanium ions passed the into solution could be neglected.

Abstract. Today, in resolving the tasks of
environmental monitoring in practice, the basic limiting factors are economic -
cost estimations. Hence the issues of typisation and statistical reliability
are of primary importance. It is necessary to understand the unity and the
contrast of the problems of monitoring
for various environments. From the point of view of the theory of informational
science, at the present stage, the problems of monitoring should be considered

maximum criterion (extreme pessimism criterion ), Savage criterion of maximum
risk (extreme optimism criterion) and Hurwitz pessimism-optimism criterion
which is recommended to compute for something intermediate between pessimism
and optimism. It is recommended to use those criteria for decision-making under
the conditions of stochastic
uncertainty, as the choice of the decision based on one or other criterion
would be more justified than the volitional choice. Those criteria could be
used for making decisions in various fields (chemical technology, sociology,
hydroengineering etc.), where different kinds of uncertainty are encountered.

and “action-effect” have been classified. The WHO, the American Agency of
Environmental Protection and the International Agency of Research of Cancer (IARC) have not worked out concrete
recommendations on the assessment of risks by these notions yet. The proposed
approach to the assessment of ecological risks is based on the determination of
probability parameters which the state and the stability of natural

The method of drip irrigation is discussed. it is demonstrated that, in comparison
with other methods of irrigation, the drip irrigation provides optimal
humidifying in the root systems of
plants, prevents the loss of water and forms the conditions for economical use
of irrigation water, which promotes the increase in the soil temperature due to
permanent circulation of water in the root system and thus in the acceleration
of plant growth. It is also justified that, at drip irrigation, drops of water
are accumulated in the active soil layer more intensely, which reduces the surface

Silagadze M.A., Berulava I.O. and Iobidze A.V.
It was
established that irradiation of hazelnut nuclei with IR rays allowed reducing
the heat treatment duration by a half as compared to the traditional method of
roasting (with hot air at 130-1450C). In the latter case, the time
of roasting makes up 30 min, whereas the time of IR heat treatment makes up 15
min (at 1500C). At tasting, the hazelnuts roasted by using the IR
radiation at 1500C for 15 min gained the highest estimation (87
points). It was also established that roasting of hazelnut nuclei at different
temperature hardly affected the peroxide number of hazelnut fat. The hazelnut
nuclei roasted by the proposed method should be stored in cellophane packages

The
study on the improvement in the technology of production of cornel jelly was
performed. It was established that, from every variety of cornel fruit: Crimean
bottle-shaped, Large-fruited late, Lagodekhi early, Small-fruited late and
Okroshinda, which are spread in Kakheti zone, it is possible to produce
high-quality jelly. The raw materials should be of complete ripeness for making
the high-quality jelly from the damp fruit. Keeping the fruit under usual
conditions for 1-2 days gives us good results if it is fresh-gathered. Boiling
of the raw materials for 20
minutes by adding 20% water should be considered as the optimal conditions for
making the juice from the raw materials. For making the jelly, it is better to
take the 1:1 proportion of juice and sugar and to boil the mixture for 20
minutes. In the high-quality jelly, the proportion of main components should be
presented approximately in this way: sugar - not less than 58%; pectin - not
less than 0.8%; acid - not less than 0.95%; water – 39.5%; active acidity –
3.2. So the cornel jelly represents a national, ecologically clean product,
which contains vitamins, mineral substances and amino acids. It does not need
particular conditions of storage. The described cornel jelly can be widely used

materials from used thermoplastic items
Gachechiladze
M.V.
For protection of the environment from pollution,
the possibility of production of
secondary raw materials from used thermoplastic items is discussed. There is
offered a two-stage procedure. At the first
stage the rheological and technological parameters of the items are studied by
using the rheometer modified by the
author (patent is available). At the second stage, the items are recycled with
the help of the granulating unit, designed by the author, for production of
secondary raw materials. The design and the
production process are briefly described. The prospects of improving the granulator
design and its serial production are shown.
Keywords: thermoplastic items,
secondary raw materials, recycling, rheometer, granulating unit.

DESIGNING OF THE PROCESSES OF
MANUFACTURE OF GARMENTS
Zakaraia
M. M.
On the
basis of research of traditional designing techniques of sewing processes and
the development of computer-aided design system, a range of problems which must be solved first of all for creation of
the uniform theoretical and informational bases for computer-aided designing of
sewing flow lines has been outlined.. The basic functional units with the
prospects of stage-by-stage progress and the system extension were
designed. For the
purpose of implementation of design procedures, the algorithm and the program, which were
tested on a model of women’s summer dress, were developed. The software package
can be applied to the computer-aided design of the process of manufacture of
garments of various types and models. The practical significance of the
proposed software consists in making simpler the process of designing, reducing
the number of designers and the operating space, raising the level of
technological solutions, etc.
Keywords: production

THE ORGANIZATION OF INPUT DATA FOR THE COMPUTER-AIDED DESIGN
OF SEWING FLOW LINES
Zakaraia M. M.
The database developed for a concrete sphere - computer-aided design of
sewing flow lines suits the basic requirements to databases such as
compactness, self-descriptiveness, perfection, visualization, unification,
profitability, simplicity of application and sweeping access to the data. For
the developed arrays, the structure of logical links was established in
accordance with the sequence of formation of inquiries during the execution of
design procedures. Some data groups can be applied to the computer-aided design
of the processes of manufacture of garments of any kind and model.

The
Conditions of wet processing of fiber material on the Twistless spinning machinE
Moseshvili T.V., Gamkrelidze E.A. and Goginovi K.G.
The
degree and the speed of activation of the binding substance depends on the
conditions of wetting and on the compaction of the fiber material. The thickness of the liquid film on the surface of fibers is considerably less than the sizes of drops
of the liquid generated by sprayers, which testifies to the necessity in
compression of fibrous product for the purpose of redistribution of the liquid in
the volume of their pores. The optimum pressure of air in the aerodynamic twisting
device for formation of high-grade conditions of wetting and activation of PVC fiber
should not exceed 0.004ÌPa.

The
Influence of Twistless Structure of the Yarn
on its mechanical properties
Moseshvili T.V., Gamkrelidze
E.A. and Maglaperidze Z.I.
The twistless yarn is
formed at pasting of separate fibers as a result of interaction between the
binding substance and the fiber. As the research has shown, the most part of
fiber belongs to class 0, where the
average factor of extent of fiber is equal to 1. The fibers are extended in
parallel to the axis of the yarn along their entire length and are basically
located close to the product axis. The
peripheral fiber belong to other
classes, they are located along screw lines with a big step. The durability of twistless yarn is much higher than the durability of
the yarn produced by ring spinning.

Modeling
of the friction gear transporting fiber Fibroin 3
Gintibidze N.G. and Zakaraia
M.M.
The
purpose of designing of the device is mechanization and automation of the
process of formation of the fiber produced by chemical processing of waste
products. A characteristic feature of the device is the arrangement of its
units in the closed space, the form and the dimensions of which are limited.
Thus it is necessary to note the complexity of technological process which
consists of a plenty of operations that are carried out in the chemical
environment. In conformity with the modular principle of construction of
machines, on the basis of the initial technological process, an original
friction gear for transporting the fiber has been designed.

Dyeing of woolen fabrics with
natural bioprotective dyes
The basic characteristics of safety of textiles have
been investigated and compared with the authorized norms. The ðÍ value of the water extract from the fabric
should be equal to 4.0 to 7.5. This is due to the fact that our skin
(consisting basically of collagen fiber) has typically ðÍ4.5 to pH5.5 (isoelectric point). The stability of coloring to sweat and saliva
(for children) is also very important. This parameter of stability is connected
with safety, as the dye exposed to the influence of sweat or saliva could get
into the organism.
Keywords: wool, natural dyes, dyeing.

Akaki Tsereteli State University, Kutaisi
The
pathology of children’s feet could be the first symptom of serious problems
with health. Reflexogenic zones and points that innervate almost all the organs
of human body are located on feet. The flat foot is a kind of foot deformation
with flattening of foot vaults. There are recognized lengthwise and cross kinds
of flattening. Their combination is also possible. The results of our studies
enabled us to work out the recommendations on prophylaxis and preventing the
development of flat foot in children by choosing the appropriate shoes and
orthopedic appliances.
