On the kinetics of dynamic quantum systems interacting with the boson field: Part II. Evoluiton equations for correlation and Green functions

Kotiya B.A.

Georgian Technical University

By the method of ordered operators, new exact generalized quantum evolution (kinetic) equations were derived for equilibrium two-time correlation functions and Green functions for quantum dynamic system interacting with the boson (phonon) field (thermostat). (The method based on the use of chronological and antichronological T-products is developed).

The random phase approximation (RPA) is not used in derivation of these equations, and the technique of elimination of boson (phonon) amplitudes is of considerable importance. The collision integrals of these equations contain both the members describing the evolution of real correlations and the evolution members of initial (precollision) correlations determined by the interaction of the subsystem with the boson thermostat at the initial moment of time. Various alternative approaches to the analysis of the dynamic subsystem behavior based on the derived equations are proposed.

To the second-order approximation of the theory of perturbation in relation to the interaction of the subsystem with the thermostat,  generalized quantum kinetic equations with eliminated boson amplitudes were derived for correlation functions from dynamic variables of the subsystem of both Markovian and non-Markovian type, which contain explicit evolution members of precollision correlations.

There is also discussed the application of the derived generalized quantum kinetic equations for equilibrium two-time correlation functions in various models of quantum dissipation systems of the physics of condensed media – the theory of polaron, the theory of motion of quantum Brownian particle etc.

Keywords: ordered operators, correlation functions, Green functions, generalized kinetic equations.

An electrodynamic problem of transmission of the plane electromagnetic wave through the dielectric sandwich with the periodic grating, placed at some distance from the layer in the lighted area, is strictly solved.  The transmission coefficient of such a system for the main wave is calculated. It is shown that, at the points of Wood’s anomaly, where the ratio between the period of the grating and the wavelength is a natural number, the presence of the grating does not affect  the value of the transmission coefficient of the insulated dielectric sandwich.

Dekanosidze Sh.V., Kevanishvili I.G. and Kekelia G.V.

Georgian Technical University

A problem of scattering of the plane electromagnetic wave on the system of two metallic or dielectric cylinders located in different cross-sections of a rectangular waveguide in parallel with its narrow walls is considered. Using the method of mirror images and realizing the continuity and smoothness conditions of the cylinder surfaces with invoking the electrodynamic analogy of the Green theorem, a dial infinite set of linear algebraic equations in relation to unknown coefficients of multifield spectra scattered by each cylinder was obtained. The analysis of metric elements and free terms showed that the obtained set of equations is the second-order Fredholm one. Therefore it was computed by the reduction method with the help of a computer.

A method of determination of  interval and maximum reliability indices

Mikadze I.S., Arabuli N.V. and Chachua D.R.

Georgian Technical University

An original method of determination of interval and maximum indices of availability of complex units (equipment, devices, elements etc.)  is suggested. A mathematical model of the operation of the service system (of devices, data transmission channels etc.) with built-in instrumentation control  was constructed. The presented model consists of two parts: basic and reference. The indication of serviceability of the basic part is the signal of a certain level at its output which is continuously detected by the supervisory  equipment. The supervisory equipment failures are checked periodically. If the supervisory equipment failure has preceded the basic element failure, those failures can be revealed and eliminated only at periodic checks. The flows of failures of the supervisory and basic equipment  obey the Poisson law.

Republican Center for Structure Researches (RCSR), Georgian Technical University

Abstract.  In this work there are presented the results of complex investigation of the morphology, the chemical and phase composition, and the membrane features of the nanostructured ultrathin oxide skin obtained at self-organization in the process of oxidation of the concentrationally laminated surface layer (~1nm) of the metal melt by the example of Ga. It was established that, in the process of self-organization during the photostimulated oxidation, on the surface of overcooled liquid gallium develops the nanostructured oxide skin in the amorphous condition, which is characterized by all distinctive features and parameters of the ultrathin membrane, namely, it is distinguished by rather high elasticity, and uniform thickness on the entire surface, and contains cylindrical open-ended nanopores with sizes dispersion of 10 ÷ 1000 nm, the number of which is ~ 108 per cm2. By the incapsulation of the certain mass of the gallium melt in the mentioned nanostructured membrane skin, which at the same time is lyophilic and chemically stable with respect to the liquid metal, naturally forms membrane module “melt-membrane-atmosphere”, in which the process of purification (from 6N up to 8N) proceeds in the mode of so-called “evaporation through the membrane” at a single stage and with the lowest power inputs.

Georgian Technical University

Institute of Cybernetics

Auger electron spectroscopy was used to investigate the Ge:GeO2 film containing oxidized (Ge4+) and elemental (Ge0) germanium nanocrystals. The quantitative analysis was performed using the reference sample consisting of the Ge and GeO2 films deposited side by side with a sharp linear edge. The Auger signals of Ge L3M45M45 were detected  by scanning the surface of the reference having a rectangular form. The Ge/GeO2 ratio in the analyzed rectangular sample was previously changed by shifting the reference in the direction orthogonal to the electron beam. The calibration curve connecting the Ge0 and Ge4+ related peak area ratios with the real Ge and GeO2 ratios in the reference sample was plotted. The Ge0/Ge4+ ratio measured for the Ge:GeO2 film of unknown composition was compared with the calibration curve, and the real ratio of Ge/GeO2 was determined. It was established that the amount of Ge could be measured with the accuracy of 3-4% for the films containing at least  15 at.% of Ge0. At lower Ge0 content, the inaccuracy increases up to 6-7 % due to the increased in the density of atoms at the Ge nanocrystals.

Georgian Technical University

Institute of Cybernetics

The phase-separated Ge:GeO2 films, consisting of the amorphous GeO2 matrix and Ge nanocrystalsб, were produced by magnetron sputtering. After water treatment of these layers, the nanoporous films were formed. For the film containing            13 at.% of the excess germanium (Ge0), the average pitch sizes of 0.6 mm and the pore length of 15 mm were obtained. The etching rate of the film depends on the concentration of Ge0 and it decreases down to 8 nm/min for the film containing          25 at.%  Ge0. The formation of the nanoporous structure in the water-treated film is caused by the segregation of phases due to the decomposition reaction GeO=Ge+GO2, which takes place during the film deposition.

For providing the homogeneity of the electromagnetic field in heating-drying chambers of the microwave conveying plant, the application of special gratings made of thin current-conducting pins located near the raw material is suggested. The effect of electromagnetic field homogeneity is reached due to the local homogeneous field generated around the electrical gratings, i.e. the total field intensity radiated by the generators is accumulated in the raw material layer. Such gratings with thin pins are simple for production and application.

The study of the process of treatment of the water of the river kvirila

Gogeliani L.D., Mekvabishvili N.I. and Dondoladze N.G.

Georgian Technical University

The process of removal of water hardness and suspended substances from the water of the River Kvirila, Georgia, was studied with the aim of using the treated water in metallurgical industry. This goal was accomplished by using the complex reagent consisting of trisubstituted sodium phosphate, 0.03% diphenylamine, 0.15% plaster and 0.5% acetic acid.

The phosphate ions react directly with many cations contained in water and form hardly solvable phosphate salts. Plaster forms the centers promoting the process of crystallization, and diphenylamine and acetic acid facilitate the process of coagulation.

The analyses of the results obtained with the 2%, 5% and 8% reagent showed that, in all cases, the water hardness decreased from 4.83 mg-eq./l to 0.02-0.01 mg-eq./l, the norm being equal to 0.02 mg-eq./l. Such water hardness completely satisfies the requirements of circulation cooling systems. It is demonstrated that the temperature changes (100C-990C) hardly affected the increase in the rate of the process of precipitation of salts.
