The rigorous solution to the problem of diffraction of the dipole wave on the sphere with the dielectric housing is presented. Practical application of the proposed theory is demonstrated by the example of a spherical radome. In particular, there has been derived the equation for determination of the inner radius of the radome when the specific permitivity of the dielectric layer is little more than one (εr ≥1).

ON THE MODELS OF SOFTWARE RELIABILITY

Teimurazishvili E.A.

Iv. Javakhishivili Tbilisi State University

There are considered the models based on Nonhomogeneous Poissonian Processes (NPP), in particular the models with a finite number of failures, the models with an infinite number of failures, and the models for future investigations using NPP. The parameter of the internal estimation in the analysis of software is considered. It is noted that the best choice of the covariant asymptotic matrix providing the maximum probability of correct estimation of basic parameters is the inversion of Fisher's information matrix. Using the covariant parameters of the models, we can find the asymptotic variation for reliability and other characteristics.

SERVICING OF REQUESTS UNDER THE EFFECT OF EXTERNAL DISTURBANCES

Mikadze I.S., Arabuli N.V. and Eliauri L.Sh.

Georgian Technical University

There was constructed a mathematical model of operation of duplication of the duplicated servicing system (devices, data-transfer channels etc.). The servicing system consisting of a basic (operating) device and a similar backup device is considered. The recovery time is a random value with exponential distribution. If the operating device is fails to operate, reconfiguration of the system takes place, and, as a result, the operating device is subjected to repair, but the beckup device comes into operation. If both devices fail to operate in the process of request servicing, the system becomes inoperable, and the process starts from the beginning, which distinguishes the proposed model from the available ones.

EFFICIENT DATA-TRANSFER RATE OF THE COMMUNICATION CHANNEL

Arabuli N.V and Eliauri L.Sh.

Georgian Technical University

At data transfer in distributed networks, the repeated transfer of distorted flows, in which errors decrease significantly the transfer rate, is used. The data should be transferred in long packets, if possible. In this case, if the data-transfer rate is maximum, the frequency of error occurrence increases sharply. In this paper, a possible compromise between the data-transfer rate and the packet length is proposed. The communication channel with automatic repetition of the distorted data blocks was considered. There was determined the distribution function of the packet-transfer time, its mean value, and the efficient number of separations of the data into packets and data-transfer rate providing the maximum capability of the communication channel.

Keywords: communication channel, data-transfer rate, maximum capability, packet length.

ON A THEORY OF X - RAY OPTICS: CONVERSION OF THE-quasi- fraunhofer diffraction into the frensel one

Gegiadze G.G., Guljaev R.G., Kekelidze N.P., Rekhviashvili I.Z. and Taliashvili Z.I.
Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University

Focusing of the primary X-rays reflected from bent single-crystal wafers finds use mainly in their monochromatization and reaching the maximum light-gathering power, the location of secondary diffracted rays. Preference is given to real-complete single-crystal wafers bent along the symmetric (upper) semicircle of the ellipse, the length of which is determined by comparing it with the length of sewn arcs of logarithmic spirals coming from the focuses of the ellipse semicircle (the interferential condition). Such a comparison explains the essence of all kinds of focusing of the secondary rays, and its generalization is associated with elliptic diffractometry.

ON THE PECLET NUMBER FOR THERMOPHYSICAL COMPUTATIONS AT METAL CUTTING

Abuladze N.G.

The formula usually used for computation of the Peclet number at metal cutting takes no account of the front angle of the cutting tool. There are suggested the equations taking into account the effect of the front angle on the Peclet number. They allow determining the Peclet number by the specified conditions of cutting with accuracy ±8%, and more precisely by experimental values of the efficient contact length and the shrinkage of chips, or by the shrinkage of chips determined experimentally for an arbitrary front angle.

SPECIFIC FEATURES OF THE STRUCTURE OF FREE-GROWING NANOPARTICLES OF SUPERCONDUCTING CERAMICS ErBaCuO

Kutelia E.R., Sanaia E.E. and Darsavelidze G.Sh.

Republican Center of Structural Research of Georgian Technical University

Morphology and structural transformations of free-growing nanoparticles of superconducting ceramics sputtered by ionic bombardment of the compact target made of ErBa2Cu3O7-x (x<0.2) were studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). In situ experiments were performed by heating the sample with the help of the intense electron beam in the microscope column. The nanoparticles formed in the ionic sputtering chamber were entrapped on three meshes located at different distance from the target. Different stages of structural transformations of nanoparticles were registered at their heating at 25-250ºC by the intense electron beam: from one- and two-dimentional modulated structures to mosaic-block (domain) monocrystalline microstructures. The nanoparticles formed at the external boundary of the condensation  zone and a square profile on the TEM image are likely to have a cubic form. Their size distribution was 10-250 mm. The nanoparticles formed in the nearest internal condensation region are dimers aggregated by nucleus clusters in the form of an "amorphous group" with the features of unidimensional modulation.

The conclusion has been drawn that, for the complex approach to controlling the movement direction and speed, it is essential to control the values of the parameters of the vibrodrive elastic system so that there should be avoided the values of length-wise, transverse, rotary, torsional vibratory frequencies which cause fluctuations in the process of vibromotion of granular materials till even stoppage or reverse motion. Moscow Research Institute of Construction Physics

The essence of the developed technique consists in the fact that, at the preassigned points of the hydraulic engineering structure (a dam), there are drilled boreholes where specially made columns from cement-sandy mortar, playing a role of the intermediate moisture carrier, are placed. Inside the columns, there are humidity and temperature sensors. Standard thermocouples are used as temperature sensors. The humidity sensors are specially made small-sized capacitor converters realizing the dielcometrical method of humidity measurement and representing  punched plates of foiled glass-cloth-base laminate with the pattern of coplanar electrodes deposited photochemically. The terminals of the humidity and temperature sensors are connected to a few panels installed in accessible places of the structure. After connecting the appropriate measuring equipment to the sensors, the data on the  humidity and temperature at the local points of the structure are available at any moment.

In the technique proposed, the most important and labour-consuming stage is fabrication of the columns and graduation of the incorporated humidity sensors.

The resistance of bacteriophages - both the filtrate of phagolysate (serial combined preparation Pyophage) and water solutions of purified bacteriophages - towards ultrasound and high-speed mechanical mixing (disintegrating factors), and some hydrolytic enzymes (hydrolases like trypsin, a-chymotrypsin, and lipase) was investigated. It was established that ultrasound caused inactivation of the phages after short-term exposure (0.5-3 sec), the phagolysate filtrate stability being somewhat higher as compared with purified phages. The mechanical disintegration turned out to be much milder and did not affect the activity of bacteriophages including the purified ones. The experiments showed high stability of bacteriophages (including the purified ones) towards the mentioned enzymes. ON THE VALEOLOGICAL APPROACH TO PSYCHOPHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT OF BABIES

Dolidze I.D. and Imnaishvili E.G.

Georgian Academy of Physical Training and Sport

The dynamics of psychophysical development of babies in two groups (trained by the method of dynamic gymnastics and untrained) is considered in  the context of the valeological approach.

By the indexes of baby's physical development (weight, Erisman's index etc.) the psychoemotional state of the baby was estimated. Psychopedagogical training of mothers was also taken into consideration. The three factors (gymnastics performed by kinesiatrists, and pedagogical and psychological training of the mother) were assumed as a generalized approach with the valeological procedure.

When the dynamic gymnastics was used and the optimum daily routine (sleeping, feeding, being awake; the effective use of natural factors: fresh air, sunshine, bathing etc.) was chosen, the babies gained weight rapidly, were more active in motions, and expressed more emotions. In this case, good dynamics of Erisman's anthropometric index was observed.

On the basis of the investigation carried out, the conclusion is drawn that it has been essential to pay special attention to pedagogical training of mothers, to their knowledge about physical training of babies, and to raising their psychological motivation with the aim of harmonical development of babies. With this purpose, a special program on upbringing of babies for mothers will be worked out with application of the new approach based on neonatal valeology, which will result in upbringing of a healthy generation.

ON THE PHENOMENON OF TSINTSADZE'S REAGENT

Tsintsadze G.V., Mgeladze N.Z. and Chagunava R.V.

Georgian Technical University

An original method of preparation of molybdenum blue known as Tsintsadze's reagent is considered. The originality of this method consists in that its author Dr. Shalva Tsintsadze excluded the possibility of the reductant excess in the final product. For this purpose, as a reductant he used pure powder of metallic molybdenum, the excess residue of which was easily separated from the reagent by filtration. Besides, he used pure molybdenum anhydride instead of ammonium molybdate. By  dissolving molybdenum anhydride in hot concentrated sulfuric acid, the problem of precise dosage of six-valent molybdenum in the solution was solved. For preparation of molybdenum blue (1 l), 10.11 g MoO3, 15 N H2SO4, and 11.78 g of metallic molybdenum were used. The process proceeded in the boiling solution. The evaporated water was compensated by adding distilled water. In recent years, similar analytical methods known as Tsintsadze-Markova's method and Dittmer's reagent, which does not actually differ from Tsintsadze's reagent, have been suggested.

Îur analysis showed that, in isoperiodic semiconductor heterostructures, appears diffusion mismatch in active layers, especially in nonstechiometric materials with high values of diffusion coefficients. The increase in threshold current, in this case, can be prevented by light doping of active layers or changing the profile of components in the heterostuctures.

PHOTON STRUCTURE OF THE BASIS OF PHOTOREFRACTIVE CRYSTALS

Karakozov K.G., Mshvelidze G.G. and Chanturia G.F.

Institute of Cybernetics

A method of formation of the photon periodic structure on the basis of electrical-optical crystals type LiNbO3 is suggested. A periodic change in the refractive index is caused with the help of the mask irradiated by laser radiation at wavelength 441.6 nm with the power density of 0.02 W/cm2. In combination with nanotechnology, the suggested method will allow fabrication of three-dimensional photon systems, in particular photon crystals on the basis of photorefractive media.
