TRANSMISSION  OF THE ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD THROUGH THE PLANE DIELECTRIC LAYER

Asanidze A.V., Kevanishvili I.G. and Tskhakaia K.G.

Georgian Technical University

The electromagnetic problem of transmission of the electromagnetic field through the dielectric layer is considered. There was determined the condition when the layer transparency was maximum. The electromagnetic field of the dipole partially percolates through the dielectric layer and carries away the useful information. There were determined the conditions when the amplitude of the transmitted field would be maximum. So, there has been determined the dielectric permeability at which the operation of the radome-protected antenna is most efficient.

EXCITATION OF THE PROTECTED ANTENNA OF A CYLINDRICAL FORM

Asanidze A.V., Kevanishvili I.G. and Tskhakaia K.G.

Georgian Technical University

Electrodynamic properties of the protected antenna of a cylindrical form are considered. It is assumed  that the antenna is passive, i.e. it operates in the mode of reception of electromagnetic waves. There is shown the cross-section of the protected  antenna. The antenna is formed from a layered cylinder; on the axis of the cylinder, there is a reception antenna in the form of a dipole. It is assumed that the cylinder ends are ideally conducting, which allows considering that, according to the method of mirror images, the protected antenna length in the axial direction is infinite. There has been derived the condition when in the protected antenna the maximum current amplitude is excited.

Georgian Technical University

A short review of author's monograph "The Initials of the United Field Theory", which is in the process of publication, is presented. Differential equations in relation to the potentials of the united gravitation-electromagnetic (GEH) field were derived. The solution to the set of differential equations for the case of the GEH field of central symmetry was found. On its basis, there were studied particular problems from the physiscs of the Sun, nuclear physics, and elementary-particle physics. The calculated values are in good agreement with the experimental results.

INVESTIGATION OF THE THIRD-ORDER ROTATABLE COMPOSITION DESIGNS FOR TWO VARIABLES

Zedginidze I.G. and Beraia N.O.

Georgian Technical University

The results of the investigation on the third-order composition designs for two variables are presented. The structure which is taken by the information matrix for the third-order designs and the conditions of its non-degeneracy are demonstrated. Simplified formulae for calculation of the regression equation factors and formulae for the dispersion and covariation of the regression factors were derived. By scanning the investigated area of the factor space, there was determined such a value of the scale factor at which the designs under investigation were the closest to the rotatable ones. It was also established that the points were to be marked on two circles having non-zero radii. The values of relative deviations of the maximum and minimum dispersion for different sizes of square à are given. There is demonstrated the form which is taken by the information profiles at changing the a size. There was found the optimum value of the square size at which the design became the closest to the unform rotatable one in the investigated area of the space with radius r=2.0.

THE INFLUENCE OF THE NATURAL OXIDE ON DEPRESSION OF THE EFFECT OF DRIVING VOLTAGE ON THE SUBSTRATE IN ACTIVE COMPONENTS OF INTEGRATED CIRCUITS BASED ON GALLIUM ARSENIDE

Lezhava N.G.

Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University

For depression of the effect of driving voltage on the substrate, there is suggested a method of isolation of active components of integrated circuits based on GaAs using the natural oxide of GaAs at plasma anodization of the corresponding structure areas. The effect of driving voltage on the substrate was measured in darkness and in white light. It is demonstrated that, even at Udr. = -20 V, the relative change in the current of the Schottky field transistor drain ΔI/I0 is <10% in most cases. The suggested method of isolation allows preventing the diffusion of Ga into the dielectric layer.

Invented over 150 years ago, fuel cells have seen only limited use outside the laboratory. Until recently, fuel cells were used mainly in the space program and for certain military applications. Nowadays fuel cell-based power technology is, in many aspects, mature. In near future fuel cells are considered to be used in zero-emission vehicles and also as high-efficient combined heat-power systems including portable power generators. With few moving parts and little noise, as well as recoverable heat energy, fuel-cell systems are well suited for distributed and on-site power generation. Although close to commercialization, the fuel cells are still the object of intense research and development. In this article, special attention is paid to basic principles of fuel cell technology, process aspects and environmental advantages of usage of the fuel cells. Basic issues of biomass-based fuel cell power generation are discussed. A brief description of the Biogas Fuel Cell Project in Georgia is also given.

DOES THE NOTION OF CREATION OF NATURAL SYSTEMS CONFORM WITH THE NOTION OF THEIR SELF-ORGANIZATION?

Khvedelidze M.A.

Institute of Cybernetics

Georgian Engineering Academy

International Informatization Academy

Analyzing the publications in reference to the paradigm of notions "creation" and "self-organization", the author has drawn the following conclusions:

1. The scientific notion of self-organization of the energy-informational work of matter, measured in the units of electronּvoltּbit of the structural information, determines quantitatively this property of matter and information.

2. The notion of creation is referred to the definition of magic creative activities of the God, the Supreme Mind, who "created" the Material World according to his program of evolutionary development of matter (from the simplest physical-chemical structure to a live one, and then to the highest one - the human being and his social system).

3. Apparently, it can be admitted, that the notion of self-organization conforms with the notion of creation of natural systems.

If the malt contains lots of unsprouted grains, it has a low ability of becoming sugared, and less is the yield of the extract. The conducted experimental work has shown that the sprouting quality of barley Tetnuldi satisfies the requirements to the barley to be used for production of malt which can be used for production of high-quality beer.

Megrelidze T.J. and Pruidze I.B.

Georgian Technical University

The instrument for determination of viscosity of liquids and the testing procedure are described. The coefficients of dynamic and kinematic viscosities of semisweet wine Khvanchkara were determined over the temperature range of 168-368 K. With increasing temperature, the values of the mentioned coefficients decreased from 4.91×10-6 m2/s to 0.69×10-6 m2/s and from 5.01×10-3 Pa×s to 0.7×10-3 Pa×s, respectively. The obtained results were used for thermal computation of the process of pasteurization of semisweet wine Khvanchkara and for designing thermal apparatuses.
